The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) is a nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer women's service organization that has been around for more than 120 years.  There are over 1,000,000 members that have joined the NSDAR since its founding in 1890.

So what do we stand for?  Patriotism, preserving history and better education are just a few of the things our chapter stand for.  Below you will see examples of how our chapter promotes these items.

Patriotism​

  • We also provide support to American serviceman through care packages, that are sent out to those serving overseas;

  • Samuel Huntington Chapter, NSDAR promotes Constitution week of September 17-23 by giving mini-Constitution's to the local junior highs and high school;​

​

Historic Preservation​

  • Samuel Huntington Chapter, NSDAR recently provided the only Revolutionary War soldier with a new headstone and rededication ceremony;

​

Education​​​

  • Every year our chapter selects an outstanding high school senior for the DAR Good Citizens Award.
